St. Kevin CWL

Our Council was formed on February 5, 1964.  Laura Townsend was our first President and Father Allen was our Spiritual Advisor.

One of the reasons women join and become members of the CWL is to affect change in our communities, our province and country.

The National Catholic Women’s League of Canada meets with the Federal Government once a year to discuss Resolutions written by concerned members.  The large number of members in our organization gives us a voice in making changes to legislation for justice and dignity for all the people in Canada.

Another reason women join is friendships that can develop while doing council work.  The women of St. Kevin’s CWL Council are very generous in giving of their time and talents.  If it were not for all the past and present women, the council would not have existed for the past 50 years.

The Catholic Women’s League is open to all women 16 years of age and over:  Catholic or non-Catholic, married, separated or single.  Memberships are available year round.  Come and see for yourself on the 2nd Tuesday of every month in the Parish Hall, beginning at 1:00 pm. (excluding July/August).
